Volunteers make it happen!

Are you interested in volunteering for the Chatham Kent Children’s Water Festival?

The Chatham-Kent Children’s Water Festival was created to fulfill an important need within our community. Volunteers will play a key role in the success of this event. The festival requires volunteers to assist with planning and coordination. As well, we anticipate needing 100 + community volunteers each day . Organizations who wish to volunteer as a group may qualify for recognition as a Festival Sponsor. We believe that everyone participating in the Chatham-Kent Children’s Water Festival will become catalysts for change by taking knowledge and newfound respect for water resources back to their homes, schools and communities.

During the week of the festival, we require volunteers for the following:

Pre-festival

Festival Assemblers: Assemble activity centres the day before the festival. May require ability to lift and move large, heavy objects. Volunteers must be available the day before the festival.

Festival

Bus Greeters: Greet students as buses arrive and to assist with lunches. Activity Centre Demonstrators: Demonstrate one of the 40+ activity centres to elementary students. Training will be provided. Volunteer must be at least 16 years old and must be available during the week of the festival.

Post-festival

Festival Activity Packers: Take down and pack up activity centres. May require ability to lift and move large, heavy objects. Must be available the last day of the festival.
